Hello and Welcome!

Hello there, and welcome to Sylvanian Sunshine!

If you have found your way here, you have probably already heard of Sylvania, and the delightful creatures who live there.  There are many pleasant towns and villages to visit in Sylvania, but the one you have arrived at today is Macadamia Grove.

Look, here is Mr Appleblossom, the baker, waving you good morning from the front of his bakery!

"Please, call me Christopher!" he says.

You can read more about Christopher Appleblossom, and eventually many other residents of Macadamia Grove too, on my Meet The Families page.

As for me, you can call me GreyRabbit.  I first became interested in Sylvanian Families as a child, way back in the 1980's.  Back then I owned one family - the grey Babblebrook rabbits.  I didn't know their surname then, and (with clearly a huge leap of imagination) named my rabbit family the GreyRabbits.  Those lovely rabbits don't belong to me anymore, although I still get to see them - they now belong to my daughter Caitlyn - but I have decided to choose my screen name as a homage to my first ever Sylvanian Family.

Now, around thirty years later, I have rekindled my love of these ultra-cute little fuzzy creatures, and have started collecting my own again.  I am so very lucky to share this hobby with my daughter - we are having lots of fun together, collecting, crafting, and making up stories!  Daughter now has many more Sylvanians than I do, and she has a blog too - you can find it here.

I hope you enjoy your visit - please do leave a comment or two to let me know you stopped by!
