Meet the Families - Town

This is where we will show photographs and bios of our Sylvanian Families who live in Town. They are listed in alphabetical order (by surname). Those whose names are shown in green belong to GreyRabbit; those shown in blue belong to Caitlyn Hazelnut. Any whose names appear in red are co-owned by both of us.
The children of each family are listed from left to right as they appear in their family photo.

Please note that these are not necessarily the official names supplied by Epoch/Flair/Tomy.  We quite often give our Sylvanians new names if we think they suit them better.

The Bouquet Skunk Family

Stilton Bouquet grew up in Town, and has recently moved back again, bringing his family with him.  He trained as a laboratory chemist, but since meeting Rosemary has developed a keen interest in the chemistry of flowers and aromatic plants.  Together they run a business making perfumes and soaps.

Rosemary Bouquet was a country lass whose heart was swept away by the sophisticated young skunk who visited her hometown all those years ago.  She has always had a talent for growing the sweetest-smelling flowers, and is now enjoying being a valuable part of the business she and her husband are building.  She likes the busier atmosphere of Town, and is hoping her children will blossom happily there too!
Jasmine Bouquet (7 yrs) is the kind of girl who makes friends easily and quickly, and treasures them for life.  Lighthearted, extroverted and popular, she also has a kind heart and good instincts about people.  She loves living in Town - all those shops and restaurants, right on their doorstep!

Aniseed Bouquet (9 yrs) is an easygoing, confident young skunk, with a keen interest in chemistry.  He finds the subject fascinating, and loves to do experiments at school and at home.  He also has a cheeky sense of humour, and enjoys teasing his younger sister.

Dr Tobias Murdoch

Tobias Murdoch is the doctor in charge of the Cottage Hospital.  To many families in Town, he is simply their trusted family doctor, treating everything from colds and flu to arthritis. But Dr Murdoch is also a skilled surgeon, and the driving force behind the Cottage Hospital's excellent operating facilities.  When he is not at the hospital, there is nothing Tobias likes better than a relaxed get-together with his friends (if they are lucky, he might even get his old guitar out for a sing-along!).

Dorothy Patches

Dorothy Patches is the House Mother and cook at Bottlebrush Academy, where she lives full time.  She has never married, but does not feel she lacks a family - she says that what with all the students and the school staff, she has the biggest family of all!  With her caring manner and good homely cooking, she certainly makes the boarding students feel right at home.  She also teaches the weekly cooking classes, making her a very busy lady indeed!  During school holidays, Dorothy likes nothing better than to enjoy the peace and quiet with a good book and a nice cup of tea - or to visit her brother Ben and his family in Macadamia Grove, of course!

The Purr Persian Cat Family

Aaron Purr is a lawyer in Town.  He is proud of his important work, but even prouder of his beautiful wife and their tiny newborn babies, all of whom he adores.  Aaron feels that education is very important, and he and Theodosia are already trying to decide which schools they might want to send the triplets to one day!

Theodosia Purr is kept very busy looking after the triplets.  She is a very sweet young lady, and shy in company, but can be a spirited conversationalist among those she is comfortable with.  Well educated and intellectual, Theodosia spends many happy hours in the evening with Aaron, debating anything and everything from books, politics, and philosophy, to the importance of young husbands helping with the dishes...

Blair, Blake and Brianna Purr are the cutest little balls of fur in Town (at least their parents think so!).  They are too young to have developed any really distinct personalities yet, but Blair seems to be the wriggliest, Blake the best sleeper of the three, and Brianna always has a big smile for anyone who pays her any attention.

The Spotter Meerkat Family 

Harry Spotter and his wife were both born into "old money" families in Town.  As such, Harry doesn't really need to do anything "for a living", but he was never one to just sit by the fire - he prefers keeping busy!  He is very concerned that modern Town children should not lose touch with nature, and to this end he has set up and runs an organisation called Sylvanian Scouts.  This is a fun club for Town children, in which they have opportunities to go camping, swimming, and exploring the woods outside Town, as well as learning a few practical skills along the way.  Harry also does some volunteer firefighting work.

Beatrix Spotter is quite the society lady.  Proud of her family and her home, she is most in her element when hosting one of her delightful parties.  Whether it is an intimate dinner party for friends, or a large charity gala event, you will not find a more gracious hostess anywhere, and the guests can be sure they will have a wonderful time!

Annemarie Spotter (14 yrs) is a sweet, kind young lady who is loved and admired by everyone she meets.  Some people initially see her as shy, especially compared with her socialite mother!  But Annemarie isn't shy - she is far from being an extrovert, but seems to radiate a quiet inner strength that others find comforting.
James Spotter (15 yrs) is growing up to be quite a responsible young man.  He is in the senior class at Bottlebrush Academy, and is proud to have been made a group leader in Sylvanian Scouts.  He also has a keen interest in reading adventure novels.
