December 3rd - Christopher's Gingerbread House

Christopher Appleblossom loves Christmas, and likes to make something a little special to celebrate.

So, early every December he builds a gingerbread house, loaded with plenty of spices, to display in pride of place in his bakery.

It smells delicious!  Just the thing to put himself and his customers in a festive mood.  (Of course he also takes orders, should anyone want their own gingerbread house to take home and eat!)

December 2nd - Order Now!

In Macadamia Grove, the most popular breakfast food for Christmas Day is Cranberry Macadamia Nut Bread from the Watermill Bakery.

Christopher Appleblossom likes to have an idea how much of the Nut Bread he needs to make.  Today, he put a sign on the door to let the villagers know it is time to get their orders in!

Maisie Honeycrackle has just bought a delicious cookie.  (Maisie belongs to my daughter, Caitlyn - she is doing a blog advent calendar too - you can see it over at Sylvanian Stories).

It's December!

Sorry I haven't posted for a while - real life has been a bit busy...  There have been Sylvanian things going on here though - mostly crafting, as well as a few new arrivals (mostly furniture).

As of today though, it's December!  In our corner of Sylvania, that is super exciting, as it's when everyone starts getting ready for Christmas.  I have decided to try to do a Sylvanian "advent calendar" of sorts, with a new post every day leading up to Christmas (thanks to Emily of Dandelion Creek, for giving us the idea - she did one a couple of years ago that was fantastic!).  That way, you will get to see how our Sylvanians prepare and celebrate.  Mostly it will be a photo each day, with maybe a story or craft thrown in now and then.

To kick things off, we will have a peek at the Rivertail family of beavers, who have been busy today decorating their Christmas tree.

Misty and Todd have found that cooperation is key when putting the tinsel on!

We put our Christmas tree up today, too!  Happy December, everyone!
