Recently, flatmates Alice Marshmallow and Catherine Periwinkle spent a delightful night out in Town, looking at the beautiful light displays up for the festive season.
This golden Christmas tree was just their style!
"I wish we could have a smaller version in our apartment!" said Catherine.
"It would need to be a LOT smaller!" laughed Alice.
They spent quite a while watching the ever-changing projections on this cathedral - there were many different scenes, from summery beach scenes, to Santa's preparations, to a traditional nativity.
Alice especially liked this cockatoo, and insisted on their having a picture with it, although by this time, Catherine was getting a bit hungry...
These photos were taken on a night out of our own to see the Christmas Lights Trail in Perth city. We are very lucky to have had this event go ahead this year! :)
Merry Christmas GreyRabbit!
ReplyDeleteIt was great you could enjoy the Christmas event in Perth city depiste the restrictions and the differnt kind of Christmas we are having this year due to the covid situation.
I love the picture in front of the golden Christmas tree. No wonder Catherine and Alice would like to have a Christmas tree like this in their apartment. It´s lovely!
Thanks for sharing this festive pictures with us!
Hope you and your family had a wonderful time on Christmas Day!
Did you and Caitlyn find any Sylvanian gifts under the Christmas tree?
Sending you my best wishes for the New Year!
Merry Christmas to you too, Cutata! I hope that you too were able to celebrate and have a fun Christmas day.
DeleteWe have been very lucky here in Perth so far (no community Covid transmission since April!). Fingers crossed that it continues, and that this virus can be got under control everywhere else too.
We had a lovely Christmas day thank you - yes, we did add some new Sylvanians, and we plan to share photos in the next few days.
What a lovely display! Katherine and Alice look to be elegant tourists. I'm sure they enjoyed the lights. Despite living in Blackpool I neglect the famous illuminations on my doorstep. That said, three houses opposite my front room give them competition for Christmas displays!
ReplyDeleteCatherine and Alice had a great night, thanks Jackson! They are both studying at university, and share an apartment in Town, so they didn't have to travel far.
DeleteWhat fun having your own Christmas lights display out the window! :) My husband puts lights up on our house too, but it isn't a big display. We are thinking of adding an inflatable snowman, reindeer or something next year though... so who knows what might happen eventually! :D
Hi GreyRabbit,
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing the light displays along with Catherine and Alice (and you, too!). I'm sure they had a wonderful time and a delicious ice-cream afterwards. The cathedral looks so impressive! Thank you so much for sharing with us.
Have a lovely weekend!
Thanks Ayrell. I daresay by European standards, our little cathedral isn't so impressive on an ordinary day. I was pretty impressed with its Christmas light projections this year though! It was great to just stand and watch it for a while, as the pictures kept changing and there were a lot of little details in each scene. Hope you are having a good weekend too.
